A11Y Quiz at Pearson Lanka (Private/Internal)

In celebration of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) 2021, Accessibility Shared Service Team at Pearson Lanka has planned several activities starting from 17th May to 21st of May 2021. The main highlight of the week is ‘A11Y Quiz’, a Virtual accessibility fun quizzical via Kahoot platform targeted for Pearson Lanka employees. Throughout the whole week, Accessibility informative tips will be shared via emails and blog posts.

A Starting Guide To Disability Awareness & Etiquette (In Person)

We all find ourselves in situations when we don’t know what to say or do, and sometimes those situations involve interacting with a person with a disability. When is it okay to offer assistance? Are there certain words or phrases you should avoid using? How can you ask questions without sounding offensive? In this session you’ll learn about types of disabilities and the unique barriers people face, common courtesy tips, and get etiquette advice for specific situations.
