Digital Exams – Between Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodations (Virtual)

Digital exams represent both an opportunity and a risk for students with disabilities. For some students, there may be no need to apply for reasonable accommodations because writing digital exams from home is just what fits their needs. Other students might find digital exams an unnecessary barrier when the technical infrastructure is not fully accessible. During this year’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2021, we will talk about accessible and inclusive digital exams.

Basic Accessibility Fundamentals Bootcamp (Virtual)

This training provides an overview of basic accessibility concepts, such as why digital inclusion matters and how people with disabilities use the Web. Through this training, participants will develop a better understanding about how disabilities affect a person’s experience online, as well as a high-level introduction to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG).

AccessAbility Academy, Positive Interactions: Making the Library a Welcoming and Empowering Place for People with Disabilities (Virtual)

A discussion will follow the webcast to generate an exchange of ideas of how we can contribute to making the library a welcoming place for everyone.
